Good morning erveryone.

Since today is the famos team Special: Off-Topic active in these project and welcomes all fellows crunchers.

The Knights Who Say Ni! was formed by Lizard, our team founder. The name came from another international group, of the same name, that used to play on-line games many years ago. Since this group was no more, the name was carried over to the Seti project and there was much rejoicing. As the saying goes, "build it and they will come.", so Lizard started building shrubs and we all came, from all points around the world. That may be a rather silly way to put it, but, forming a club around a skit from a Monty Python movie to help the Seti project find ET is a rather silly thing to do also... So Lizard found himself surrounded by a bunch of rather silly knights, which he is now stuck with, but he doesn't mind, being rather silly himself...

The main goals of the team was, and still is: To process as many shrubs (WUs) as possible for Seti in the name of The Knights Who Say Ni!. To endeavor to be the top team in the Seti team rankings. And to have a fun time doing so. While never attaining the #1 spot, we have, never-the-less, made a name for ourselves staying in the top 20 teams, and the top 10 for a good part of the time, and we have had a fun time doing so!

PS- We also run about every project imaginable (and some that aren't).

G'Day Crunchers Everywhere!

Aussie Assault Number 9 is on the starting blocks and this time the target is QMC@Home.
The team will be concentrating a significant portion of their processing power on that project from
October 1st for the following two weeks.

By any measure Aussie Assault 9 (AA9) on QMC has been a fantastic success!!

Even though AA9 is officially over, the team has just passed 10 million credits in QMC, the last 5 million all in the last 18 days. That is an enormous amount of science crunched.

The team's daily output should have started winding down to about double its pre-AA levels, about 50,000 a day, but we are still seeing around 250,000 a day. Not to bad for QMC.

It should start to drop in the next week or so but the project has caught the interest of many BOINC@AUSTRALIA members. That's another great side affect of the AA's.

The next event starts on 1 December 2007.

Who are we? We are a newly formed international team of some really long standing distributed computing participants and those new to DC as well.

Overall, the team is No. 7 in the UK and No. 105 in the World.

TEAM: Brian has an incredible 4 members spread out over 30+ projects. Our website is a complete joke and it has not been updated in a year or more. (Probably a lot more.) We have no goals and no drive. If you join TEAM: Brian you can expect nothing and TEAM: Brian expects nothing from you. TEAM: Brian does, however, have its own city. The city is actually just a huge waste of time.

So, in short, if apathy were a category for teams, TEAM: Brian wold be number one, but also wouldn\'t really care.

Team England has decided to take part in one of the regular competitions at WCG –
Christmas Race 2008

The race runs from 1st December through to midnight on the 24th December.
All team members are invited to take part – the more the merrier!
The team has the opportunity to improve both UK and World rankings on this worthwhile project. All it needs is a small contribution from everyone in the team – perhaps one or two WCG WUs each day while continuing to crunch your own projects. There is a thread in the Team Forum where you can follow progress or find out how to ‘tweak’ your project settings.
The WUs can take up to 8 hrs and the time for validation, strangely enough, is quicker than SETI even though WCG WUs ask for a quorum of 10 or more!

I started running this program in the beginning of July and set up a team and team website. I have been interested in space and what may be out there since I was a little kid. I know it\'s a long shot, but if you are interested in joining a team please give mine a look. Team or no team, it doesn\'t matter because we are all looking for the same thing. I chose to start my own team to see if I could build a great one and I also like starting at the bottom and seeing what I can achieve
Why join a team? A Team is a group of like-minded people that have formed a group that does the scientific processing as a collective instead of just individuals. The Team will have an identity, usually a Web Site, and assist other members in making their systems productive, have discussion groups, etc. One of the key features is that as a group they stand a greater chance to play a role in the creation of statistics of processing that will make them stand out from the crowd. Besides it is more fun to be part of group and socialize with your friends.

Stardate... Unknown. The ships entire supply of velour softener was lost in an unfortunate transporter accident yesterday. And I can already feel the crew tightening up. Also relations with the Slugatron empire took a sligt turn for the worse, as their departing ambassador apparently proved allergic to soap (S.S.O. note: War was declared).
We took the ship into orbit around a small lush planet, called Sexysinglealienprincess (S.S.O. note: Sicituradastra) in hope of replenishing our supplies. But for now contact with the indigenous population has been scarce. They seem to be worshipping an etity called BOINC, for whom they will crush anything! (S.S.O. note: Crunch anything). Also they appear obsessed with a substance called chocolate cake... But there is no doubt in my mind we can free these people from their own inhuman paradise, but for now we must keep radio silence, as a govening body called SATIRE (S.S.O. note: SETI) seems to be listning in...

“Will the brave captain and his crew be able to save these people from them selfs? Or will they also fall under the spell of the mighty BOINC and join the crunching, chocolate cake eating ranks of the SICITURADASTRA!! Stay tuned!!”
