3 tasks requested just now. All 3 failed. Edit: Aborting the transfers doesn't show as aborted by user in the task header page, but aborting the task itself does... ![]() |

The download errors are the 2nd thing on my list of things to do for Cosmo@home over the Summer. The first being a dynamic credit granting scheme. ^_^ So stay tuned for updates after May 17th! |

The download errors are the 2nd thing on my list of things to do for Cosmo@home over the Summer. The first being a dynamic credit granting scheme. ^_^ Personally, if it were my project (and it's not), I'd prioritize as: 1) Figure out why the tasks take so much memory and time. Until then, raise credit to 500. 2) Correct the residual PHP errors when trying to modify preferences. 3) Correct the download errors / files not found / etc... 4) Work on the dynamic credit system. The credit system should be last on the agenda because it can potentially be influenced by the first item, and items 2 and 3 would give you enough time to start building up stats for working on the credit. ![]() |

Edit: Aborting the transfers doesn't show as aborted by user in the task header page, but aborting the task itself does... I still get those too. Let BOINC report them as a DL error instead of manually aborting them and changing the error code. me@rescam.org |

Personally, if it were my project (and it's not), I'd prioritize as: Makes sense to me... though one could even get someone else to look into the forum errors in parallel. I find these errors very disturbing, as broken forum software could perhaps provide a potential security risk. |

True... In any case, "fixing" the credit system should be absolutely last on the agenda... ![]() |

The download errors are the 2nd thing on my list of things to do for Cosmo@home over the Summer. The first being a dynamic credit granting scheme. ^_^ For me, having WU's to crunch would be a better #1. Failed downloads cannot a good crunch make - nor will they then ever contribute to a completion or a granting of credit. If WU's can have a crunching checkpoint then i kinda fail to see why a download cannot have one also! |
