Hi, new computer, new setup (MacBook Pro M1, latest VirtualBox). All work units fail after a few seconds due to VirtualBox failing to start properly. See https://www.cosmologyathome.org/result.php?resultid=46672529 for one of them. Anything that I've been missing? Best, Peter |

They don't have a Darwin app for one thing. https://www.cosmologyathome.org/apps.php |

Huh. Thanks, I missed that. Should they then not prevent any WUs being handed out to my M1 machine? |

I have seen some projects send out VirtualBox work to machines that don't have it installed at all. |

It did recognise I didn't have VB installed at first. |

It did recognise I didn't have VB installed at first. You could setup a Linux or Windows OS in a Virtual Box so your Mac MAY be able to run them if you want to, the M1 chip will be the decider and may be the deadend for you. IF the App only looks at the OS then you should be good to go but IF it ALSO looks at the cpu then it's a non starter. |
